Sew cute card? CR84FN21 challenge

Hello 😉

So I managed to squeeze in a card last night inspired by the latest CR84FN challenge 21, Garnet, Chartreuse, Cream.
I love this inspiration pic, so rich and full of potential…

CR84FN21

I was struck by those lovely silk bridesmaid dresses (yes, and that delicious-looking cake…. the cake… cake….Sorry I was almost slipping into another cake-trance… Mmmmm…)
But the dresses reminded me of creating a sewing-themed card, which I love to make. And of course seeing this beauty by Joy a few days ago also inspired me to go for it. Sew cute!

Here’s my card then:

Sew Artsy card

I paper pieced the dress form onto some paper which was by Melody Ross for GCD (Homespun Chic collection), using this gorgeous clear stamp set by Hero Arts: ‘Sew Artsy’, CL446.
Reminds me to ink this one up more often. So yummy.

The lace trim is a new purchase, by May Arts. Swoon. And I diecut and stamped the doily from Papertrey Ink: Delightful Doilies. Double swoon.
This card is going off today to a dear friend who hasn’t been feeling well lately. I hope it will make her smile. She’s a sewing fanatic.

I think that she (like me) will fully appreciate the absolute need in life for a fabulous dress form. Just because it is enough to make a person happy.
Check out these lovelies that I still can’t get out of my head after our last visit to Liberty’s of London. Made in Liberty Lawn.
Phew-ee. When I win the lotto……

Meantime, have a good day peeps, Ruth x
