Trend-Alert Tuesday – more cloud fun

Hi all, hope you are well!
Didn’t get chance to post this before leaving for work today, but better late than never huh?

Question of the day: When is a cloud not a cloud?
Answer: When it’s an ice-cream! Of course!
(Cue: no laughter, as obv this is not a joke despite being set up to sound like one.
That’s ok. I *seriously* don’t expect laughs from non-jokes.
If however you do laugh at my cards when they are not meant to be funny, it will *not* be ok though. Be warned.)

For today’s trendy cloud idea, I was thinking of different ways to incorporate a cloud on my card, that isn’t the obvious.
I used my cloud stamp as used last week here and here, from the My Little Shoebox ‘Home Sweet Home’ collection.

It’s stamped and heat embossed (WOW embossing powder, pink) and then I added glue inside the cloud outline shape to glitter-flock it.
Or should I say flock-glitter it? Well, I mixed some iridescent white glitter in with pink flocking powder for a yummy ice-creamy effect anyhoo.

It’s fussy cut out to be layered onto a corrugated card wafer cone, and a gem cherry added on top.
The chocolate flake is my fave bit – it’s a snip of woodgrain patterned paper! (MME, Stella Rose) How cute?!
The sentiment is by Waltzing Mouse Stamps from the ‘Dainty Doilies – Large‘ set.

I’m entering this card into a couple of challenges:
Simon Says Stamp – Anything Goes

CAS-ual Fridays CFC11 – Sweets & Treats
CAS-uals Friday challenge CFC11
And, here are some fab projects from blogland using gorgeous clouds:

Alice’s amazing colouring never fails to wow me, and her cute clouds of course make this scene perfect:
Alice’s ‘Maggie’ card

Roree’s showcasing a bunch of fant-a-bu-lous cards using the new Pink Paislee collections (YUM!) and right at the end there is a cute cloud idea. Using the Halloween line. I know! Who knew?!

What a cute card from Sherrie – with clouds diecut into the background. Fab!

In amongst all Betsy’s stunning cards with new PTI releases, she made a couple of adorable washing lines scenes. What’s not to love?

Wowsers. How cute is this LO by Sharon?

Totally sweet card from Kelly! The new SC/ HA stamps are *all* stunners, but clouds that work to fit the Fiskars cloud punch! To die for!

That’s all for now then,
See you again soon crafty pals – thanks for stopping by 😉
Hugs, Rx
