Shabby love card

Hi all!

Here’s a card I made last night, feeling fired up by a couple of challenges out there:
A Passion for Papertrey – Make for the Border… and…
52 Cards Challenge, Week #27 – Hearts, Wood and Corrugated card.
Thanks for the inspiration folks!

It had to be kraft if there was even a hint of corrugated card to be included 😉
and for my Papertrey Ink element, I stamped a shabby border of buttons in grey, using the ever-delish ‘Button Boutique‘. To make for a vintagey look, I stamped off each button first onto scrap paper so my buttons wouldn’t all be such crisp impressions.

The wood layer is Hero Arts’ Designer Background – Woodgrain (S5208), stamped and heat embossed using WOW embossing powder, clear gold highlight.
Seriously sparkly. Yum.

Dodging the rain showers this morning - sorry for the terrible shadows!

The bow of seam binding is Iced Lime from The Ribbon Girl and my freehand-cut corrugated heart is shabbied up with white acrylic paint (like the rest of the card blank edges) and layered onto a couple of offset gold doilies.

Something fun for a Wednesday, no?
Have a good one, Rx
