Hi there and welcome to the first of July’s Trend-Alert Tuesday card ideas 😉
If you’ve had your crafting eyes open you can’t fail to have spotted this fabby trend lately and all the lovely products for us to make the most of it…. CLOUDS!
Yay – lovely puffy cotton-woolly ones!
Check out my card to celebrate, using Echo Park patterned paper from the ‘Sweet Summertime’ collection, ‘Blue Sky‘:
Simply used as a background, it works fab in this card, which I made inspired by Latisha’s fun sketch over at Skipping Stones Design, SSD #82.
And to tie in with the summery Red, White & Blue colour challenge over at
Off The Wall Craftiness, OTWC #56.
My stripes are made by layering a red patterned washi tape strip centrally over a wide band of double-sided tape, and then applying red glitter to the exposed sticky stripes either side of the washi tape. Fun!
The sentiment is made with Mini Marks rub-ons by American Crafts, and the cute bird is a sticker by K&Co, covered in Glossy Accents for a shiny button effect.
Red embroidery thread to finish.
Hope you likey – leave me a link to your project if you’ve been inspired by the fabby clouds trend and I’ll be sure to stop by and hopefully even link you up for Trend-Alert Tuesday next week!!
Take care, and hope you have a sunny blue sky, puffy clouds sort of a day, Rx
