So I thought I share the Father’s Day card I made for my F-I-L this year, before it goes off in the post today 😉
This week’s Timeless Tuesday challenge (FTTC122) at Flourishes sparked off an idea for my card….
The challenge is to use ‘one square and one circle’…. and with my square image panel and circle button accent, I think this has worked out quite well:
The stamped image is from Flourishes’ ‘From the Garden‘ clear set – so lovely to colour in, using my pencils.
I used patterned papers from My Mind’s Eye ‘Stella & Rose – Mabel’ 6×6 pad and the fab vintagey-style button is one I scored from a carded set in a local charity shop, just for a
few pence!
Brown Divine Twine is from The Ribbon Girl.
Hope you like – and that hubby’s Dad will like it too. He’s big into gardening so I hope he will (and I know he doesn’t know about my bloggo, so there’s no danger of spoiling the surprise before Sunday!)
See you later, alligators, Rx
Hi Ruth,
I’m sure your Father-in-law will love this card. The colors are bright and vibrant and remind me of a garden. I too am making a card with the My Mind’s Eye, “Stella & Rose – Mabel” paper pad. I have it on my table right now and need to finish it and upload it to my blog today.
Bye for now,
Jackie

Great Father’s Day card. Love your twine and button embellishment – a perfect compliment to your design.
