Hi all and welcome to the first of my Trend-Alert Tuesday posts for April… and this month’s theme is RAINBOWS 😉
Yay, happy and jolly and colourful. What’s not to love?! And as I’ve been stalking blogland lately, I’ve spotted this theme is “on the up”. So it’s definitely qualifying as my trend for April!
So here is my first card with a rainbow vibe:
Making the most of a happy, sunshiney patterned paper featuring glitter-accented rainbows. It’s one by GCD Studios from the (retired) Spring All Over collection. I cut the panel to carefully position two rainbow motifs on my card.
And topped it off with a kraft die-cut cut using Nestabilities Labels 4, and stamped with WMS ‘Rescue Remedies’ for this friendly greeting.
I heat embossed with American Crafts Zing in Mustard. To keep with the fresh look.
Here’s another card made using the same paper, this time CAS. It uses a rainbow motif as the focal image. Mounted up on purple card and over a few strands of baker’s twine.
American Crafts chipboard Thickers ‘Typo’ and with a cute flower gem make this a fast ‘just because’ card. Useful to keep on hand for sending a quick message. Better than texting! (If time is not pressing anyway!)
Check out these other ideas for rainbow papers…

And for digi fans, The Fairy Pixel ‘Happy Rainbow – v2’ pack
And to whet your appetites a little for even more colour bursts, here is some link love that I’ve been drooling over in blogland lately.
All these projects are rocking the magic rainbow effect… Check them out 😉
Bye for now then. Another busy day at work ahead. And it’s super rainy today. Bleugh.
Hopefully will have some crafty time tonight, and will be able to share tomorrow! Hugs, Rx
